#  Note from the Vice Provost: Attendance Study Review

We were very pleased to see the [completion of the committee's memorandum on the attendance study](http://media.www.harvard.edu/content/150316_Oversight%20Committee%20Memo%20to%20President%20Faust.pdf) and are grateful for their work.

In addition to the steps my office has already taken to further strengthen our research processes and protocols, the review serves as a reminder of the importance of balancing our commitment to learning with our commitment to our students and faculty.

Keeping this in mind will be ever more vital as we navigate the evolving opportunities of technology-enabled learning and research on our campus and online.
