This page represents highlighted features for the LXP.

The items listed below are not an exhaustive list. Nor will all these features be available for the first release of the LXP. The sketches and descriptions of the features are also subject to change, especially those that are still in the design and planning stage. We will continue to add to this page as the LXP features evolve.

Also note that with respect to the learner-facing features, the highlighted features are targeting build deeply engaging asynchronous learning experiences. In the medium to long-term, the LXP will support additional features that enable blended learning experiences and augment live learning experiences.

While the LXP's initial learning experience is informed by Harvard's full range of digital learning experiences, the LXP initially takes particular inspiration from the Harvard Business School Online platform, and the lessons learn from that platform's experiences over the last decade. For instance, the opinionated pedagogy embodied in the the LXP draws heavily from the inductive case method teaching that lies at the core of the HBSO experience. For more information on the HBSO learning experience, please explore [the HBSO learning model](https://online.hbs.edu/more-info/learning-model/).
